How and when did you get into polo, Lenny?
It was when I was in the sixth class and taking riding lessons in my spare time. My riding teacher wanted to do a project about polo ponies. She was fascinated by the fact that they were always so relaxed. And as my Dad had a friend, Wolf Jager, who had started a polo club out on the Munich race course, www.munich-polo.de we all went out there and I sat on a polo pony for the first time. I've been hooked ever since.
What has been your favourite game or tournament so far?
That must be the German Youth Championships 2017 in Tagmersheim (www.tagmersheim-polo.de) when I played against Nicholas Steinle. A fantastic game! We lost but it was still a great game!
Tell me about your favourite pony.
Well, I don't really have a favourite, but I do have a great connection to Tacquera. She's super but a bit difficult for me. She's a Ferrari! I'm not scared of her but do have respect. She's my best pony at the moment.
What are your plans for the next season?
They're a bit up in the air, at present. I'm hoping to get a place at the Universtiy in Vienna, and if that works out I'll take my ponies with me and play in Austria. I also want to continue playing with Lukas Leibold, my team mate over the last few years.
Give me three words to describe polo.
….fast, intuitive, and passionate, especially towards the ponies.
Thank you Lenny.
You're welcome :)
